Just thought I'd write in and voice some of my opinions on a few matters that I believe effect us all here in Rockaway Beach. First of all I really don't like talking politics or religion but some of what I talk about probably has political roots and God only knows what lurks in the minds of the local politicians. It seems that the powers that be decided to spend some of our tax dollars on trees along Shore Front parkway. Sure they were supposed to spruce up the neighborhood but the idea failed terribly. Today, I saw two police officers from the 100 Precinct ticketing cars, which were parked nose in rather than the other way, as the other cars are parked. This took place between buildings 7600 and 7800. There are no signs anywhere around that street that indicates which way cars have to face, and yet, these officers felt it "necessary" to issue tickets. More ... |
