Soup Kitchen Needs Support
Claddagh I.N.N., which has served hot meals and pantry food to the needy of Rockaway since 1987, will have a gala fundraiser/art show and auction on Thursday, August 17 in The Beach Club’s Ocean Room, 129 Beach 116 street.
For more than 10 years the Claddagh has fed hungry families, seniors and children in Rockaway. Located at Beach 73 street and Rockaway Beach boulevard, the Claddagh is the largest soup kitchen outside of Manhattan.
Over the past several months the Claddagh has been reorganizing its operation and renovating its facility. The Claddagh now offers a dining room for those who want a safe and comfortable place to eat their meals.
To continue operating and serving those who visit the Claddagh, the public is asked to come out and support this fundraising effort. The monies raised by this fundraiser keeps alive the Claddagh’s mission to feed Rockaway’s hungry.
The fundraiser on August 17, which will start at 6 p.m., includes a dinner, live music, entertainment and an art show/auction.
Tickets are $30 and can be purchased at the door the evening of the event or by contacting Kevin Pruitt at 718-868-8296.
