What A Boondoggle!

Dear Editor;

I live in Dayton Beach Park Co-op. Whose bright idea was it to plant those pine trees on the center median?

I’m no tree expert, but I know trees have to be planted in the wintertime during their "dormant phase", otherwise they will die, as they’re now doing. They also cause problems for motorists. You can no longer see vehicles making turns. Also they’re so close together. I don’t think it will be safe for women walking their dogs. No doubt it was tax dollars used for this boondoggle.

Instead of planting trees, why don’t you fix all the streetlights that are out? I did my part. I called DOT. As for the trees, they’re all disappearing just like the last bunch that were planted.
