Pee Wee Playoffs

It was a wild week of exciting playoff baseball for the Pee Wee Division of Rockaway Little League.

V&B Auto Body had the toughest road to the World Series, having to beat Mirkin Vision and Kennedy's, two teams that had beaten them in the regular season, while McDonalds beat Ridgewood Savings in four
innings to advance to the series.

V&B seems to be peaking as there was great defensive efforts turned in by "Fast Eddie" Warren, Josh Frankel, James Mahr, Ken Smith jr., and the always solid John Ameruso and Dominick Demarco.

The first game of the World Series was somewhat of a shocker for a very confident McDonalds team as they lost to V&B for the second time in a week. There was great all around team effort by V&B, and some offensive fireworks from Nicholas Mastros (who picked a great time to connect for his first home run) hitting a three run dinger; Matt Alessi, connecting for an inside the park home run in the playoffs and solid shots in the series; John Ameruso, who missed a home run by six inches; as well as Richie Dyer, Matt Horgan, Briana Maroney, Conner "Mr. Versitility" O'Grady, Chris Hazel, Christian Fortuna, and Matt "Thome" Petronis.
