Tavern Tales

By James Kalisak

It was a perfect Sunday as the Tavern on the Bay A-s were perfect as well. They took two from the Blackwater Old Head, improving the Taverns record to 7-5.

In the first game the A-s knocked in two runs in the second inning. Driving those runs in was Victor Fernandez who was 2 for 3 with two RBI's. In the fourth inning, Joe McBride, who was 2 for 3 as well, knocked in the other two runs giving the A-s a 4-0 victory.

The second game of the day had a big surprise. Kevin "Crack" Campbell finally got his first hit of the 2000 season. Not only did he get his first hit he had two hits and a RBI. Congratulations Kevin, keep it up. The Tavern A-s had a 7-1 victory over the Old Head.
