Tavern Tales

By James Kalisak

The Tavern on the Bay A-s now have a 5-5 record. The team is at five hundred due to the outstanding plays of Jimmy Lynch, Tom Meyer and Mike Doonan, just to name a few.

The A-s, formerly the Misfits, hit like pros in Sunday’s first game,
due to the bats and RBI'S of the three above names. The A-s took the
first game from the Big Dogs 9-3. According to the Tavern, they dedicated that win to our faithful cheerleaders Elena Martino, Mary Lyons, Jamie Deary and Donna Murphy, who come out every Sunday to cheer the boys on.

In the second game it seemed that the Tavern couldn’t get anything started as they fell in to an early 8-1 deficit. Then a spark was ignited in the late innings but the rally had to end as the Big Dogs won 8-4.

On a separate issue the Tavern on the Bay A-s team management and staff would like to thank everyone for
coming to the benefit for Joey Keane’s daughter Annie. Every donation was
appreciated. Thank you all.
