What About Our Rights?

Dear Editor;

It is really a shame that once again our court system has let us down. Miguel Rizzo has been a problem to the Rockaway community for a long time. I know because my family was a victim to this trash. Many days were spent in the Queens courthouse trying to get justice for my family and I need not say more, because he has struck again. This time severely beating two innocent people and destroying their lives.

When is our court system going to work for the people, not the criminals? I was told that the criminal has rights. Don't the victims of this trash have any? My family didn't, because the hell continued, until it drove us away. Maybe if more people got involved and stood together Rockaway would be a nicer and safer place. There are many people fighting to make Rockaway what it should be, but more are needed. Why not try standing together and stop these criminals from striking again. Isn't once enough? What Rockaway needs are more people like Lew Simon whom many people knock because he has a loud voice, but that voice speaks out for all of Rockaway. Thank you Lew for speaking out for me.
