Bad Treatment At Store

Dear Editor;

I am an employee of the Waldbaum’s in Belle Harbor and numerous times I’ve heard customers complain of the service that they receive when they shop in the store. There’s no way to justify for any employee being rude to a customer, but there is a way to make it understandable.

Weekly, the employees come into that store to be ridiculed, yelled at, embarrassed, and made to feel useless at the hands of the front-end manager. She treats her employees like children and shows us no respect at all. She has no people skills, something all managers should have. I’m also sure that many of the customers have had to deal with her rude demeanor, which just proves my point.

Like I said, there’s no way in which to justify an employee being rude to a customer, but working with this woman can make you very unhappy, therefore we don’t enjoy our working experience. For some of us we have no choice but to work here because it secures our livelihood, so we can’t just go and find new employment.
