Supporters of Steven Morales, the six-year-old Far Rockaway boy diagnosed with a life-threatening cancerous brain tumor, will come together on Thursday, April 27 to raise funds for the family’s medical expenses.

The fundraiser will be held at The Beach Club, 129 Beach 116 street, from 7 to 11 p.m. The evening will feature a buffet dinner, DJ, entertainment, raffles/prizes, and auctioning of sports memorabilia. Those who attend will be able to meet and show their support for Steven and his family.

Tickets for the April 27 fundraiser are $30. Reservations are necessary and can be made by calling John McLoughlin at The Wave office (no later than Monday, April 24).

"The community support has been tremendous," McLoughlin said. "It is heart warming to see the response Rockaway residents have given to Steven and his family. Since starting this campaign to support Steven, more than $10,000 has been raised. Everyday we are getting closer to our goal so that Steven can have another chance at life. Please come out and support Steven at the April 27 fundraiser. Your presence can make the difference!"
