Best of luck and congratulations to Malcolm Smith, who was elected to the state senate last Tuesday. Unofficial tallies from the Board of Elections had Smith with 4,813 votes, Andrew Jenkins with 440 votes, and Gerard Borriello with 105 votes. As seen by the numbers, voter turnout was pathetic.
