William J. Doolan
Of Rockaway Point
William died on February 21, 2000 at Peninsula Hospital Center.
A Rockaway Point resident for 60 years, originally from Brooklyn, William was an employee of the Department of Social Services, WW II veteran (Army, 1941-45), and a member of the VFW Roxbury Post and Disabled War Veterans.
He is survived by sister-in-law Kay Doolan; nieces Kathy, Chris, Donna, and Carol Doolan and Marilyn Caputo; and nephews Edward, Owen and Kevin McKenna.
Interment under the direction of Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home, Inc., of Rockaway Beach was held at Pinelawn Memorial Park, Long Island, New York.
Rockaway Point Resident
Mass of Christian Burial for Carol O'Donnell was celebrated on Friday, February 25 at St. Thomas More Church, Breezy Point.
Carol, a resident of Rockaway Point for 22 years, coming from Flatbush, died on February 22, 2000 at Peninsula Hospital Center.
She is survived by husband Patrick J.; daughters Meghan and Tara O'Donnell and Theresa Bittner; sister Mary Moon; and grandchildren Shayna Wright and Cydney Bittner.
Interment was under the direction of Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home, Inc., of Rockaway Beach. Private services were held.
Milagros (Maria) Rios
Mass of Christian Burial for Milagros (Maria) Rios will be celebrated today, Saturday, February 26, at St. Gertrude's Church, Far Rockaway.
Milagros died on February 22, 2000 at North Shore University Hospital.
A resident of Arverne for 25 years, she originally was from Brooklyn. Milagros was a well-known babysitter to children in Ocean Village and helped raise many children.
She is survived by husband Maximino; son Maximino jr.; daughter Diana Rios; and brothers Bernardino Arocho, Juan Nesto Arocho, and Tato Arocho.
Interment under the direction of Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home, Inc., of Rockaway Beach was in Puerto Rico.
