Delivering Good News

Dear Editor;

Many of us were surprised to wake up not long ago to learn that the postal service had removed our corner mailboxes. As soon as we learned of this reduction in service we went to work to reverse the decision.

Now we are pleased to inform you that mailboxes will be replaced at the corner of Cronston avenue and Beach 132 street and the corner of Rockaway Beach boulevard and Beach 140 street.

Ensuring that our neighborhood's postal service is as good and reliable as possible is one of our highest priorities. Part of that service has to be the convenient availability of mail drop locations. We personally visited the postmaster of our area to make this point and to insist that the mailboxes be replaced.

We would like to thank all of the community leaders who contacted us about this issue.

You can be assured that we will remain vigilant in ensuring that our great neighborhood stays great.
