Police Reach Out
Volunteers Needed

The 100 and 101 Precincts are actively seeking volunteers for their Auxiliary Police Programs. If you live or work within New York City and are at least 17 years old and are interested in assisting your community and the police department you are welcome to join the Auxiliary Police.

Volunteers will receive training by the New York City Police Department in police science, Social science, criminal law, self-defense, first aid and other related subjects. All training classes are conducted at your local precinct. Some of the duties performed by the Auxiliary Police include: uniform patrol with a partner in residential and commercial areas, special events such as street fairs and parades, bicycle patrol, school and church crossings, assist in traffic and crowd control and other police related duties.
