Dot on Roxbury

by Dotty Taphouse

Debbie and Bill Hartman and Kathy and Roger Beehler would like to announce the engagement of their children, Christine Hartman to Mike Beehler, on January 14, 2000. While on vacation in Florida during the glowing of the fireworks and a love song playing in Epcot, Mike got on his knee and proposed and popped the question. Christine thought he was kidding around, but when the tears of happiness came she realized he was serious and accepted. The wedding date has not been planned as yet.

The First Friday Luncheon for St. Genevieve's was held on February 4 after the 11:00 Mass in Father Hession hall. It was beautifully decorated for St. Valentine's Day. Addie Ickowski was the very gracious chairlady and with her helpers, cake bakers and donators, ran another great luncheon. Classic Cuisine catered the delicious dinner. Joe Sotali was the smiling bartender despite the snow and poor weather. Those who ventured out all had a good time. The next luncheon will be held on March 3, 2000.

A Mass will be held on Sunday, February 20, 2000 at 9 a.m. in St. Genevieve's Church in memory of recently deceased Connie Whiteside of Roxbury.

Happy Birthday Jackie Donohoe-February 8, 2000; Jane Tana-February 12 (Big 80); Edith Rodman-February 12; and Cissy Schnibbe--February 14, 2000.
