Dot on Roxbury

by Dotty Taphouse

A group from the Breezy Point Golden Age were on a trip to the Hilton Hotel in Atlantic City overnight last Wednesday and Thursday. All the extras, show, etc. were very good. No big winners--the usual amount of losers and winners, but an enjoyable trip. A huge thank you to Ronnie McCarthy as the very gracious chairlady who took my place as I couldn't make it.

On Saturday night, the Rockaway Point Catholic Club had another delightful "Century" dinner dance. Tom Crawford was the chairman and John Gavin co-chairman. Frannie Jamin of JAMCO catered the delicious dinner with his helpers, waitresses Trich and Alicia. The good bartenders were Chris Gibson and Dennis Strong, jr. Bob Cass played the music for dancing. It was a great fun night and sorry I was unable to attend and wasn't a winner at the lovely affair.

Happy Birthday Ronnie Farrell, sr., January 28.

Love ya, Dot.
