If you enjoy the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Rockaway every year show your support and attend the Hearts and Shamrock Dance on Sunday, January 23 from 4-8 p.m. in St. Camillus' Springman Hall. Music and lots of fun guaranteed!

More music and fun is just around the corner. The annual Doo Wop Spectacular at Beach Channel High School is next weekend, Saturday, January 29 at 7 p.m. For tickets call the school.

Mike Dever, son of Mary and the late Gerry Dever, will be a full-time campaign staff member for Giuliani for Senate starting in February. Mike's community spirit and determination to help Rockaway hopefully will influence the Giuliani campaign. Best of luck Mike and we're sure we'll be seeing you in an elected office one day.

Duane Reade didn't make one customer happy this week. She went to the pharmacy to pick-up her heart medicine, but was told it was backordered. They gave her 10 pills to hold her over, but now they have told her they don't even make the medicine. What's the story?

With the recent increase in car thefts around the area, the 100 Precinct will be having an Anti-Auto Theft Program today, Saturday, January 22, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the precinct building, 92-24 Rockaway Beach boulevard. It's better to be safe then sorry.

Norfolk Savings is taking over Jamaica Savings at the end of February. Jamaica Savings has two locations in Rockaway, Beach 116 street and Beach 20 street and Mott avenue.

Public bathrooms do not mean doing your business in public. Witnesses to a man urinating on the triangle at Beach 116 street and Beach Channel drive were totally grossed. He didn't look like the "usuals" around Beach 116 street, so we're betting it was a visitor. Welcome to Rockaway!

Was it a Mob hit? A burning body was found by Park Police in Fort Tilden over the weekend. A white male in his 20's, police said he was killed before being dumped and burned in Fort Tilden.

Jameson's Pub on Beach 129 street, one of Rockaway's new eateries, is delivering 5-9 p.m., six days a week. Try it out, they have delicious food.

Make sure you send a thank you note to Senator Chuck Schumer, our former congressman. He pushed hard for a FAA exemption of flight limits for JetBlue, which has resulted in an additional 75 flights over our heads. We're fighting for fewer flights and reduced noise pollution and Schumer gets us more. So, Where was Congressman Weiner on this one?
