Red Wings Win Big Over Whites

On Sunday morning, December 19, in the Rockaway rink, the Rockies Red Mites defeated the White Mites by a score of 14-2 in two periods of rock 'em-sock 'em action.
In the first period, Eddie Warren, Neil Howard and Sean Kirby all
achieved hat tricks. Andrew Cahalan once again demonstrated his natural
defensive abilities, assisted several goals and scored one himself.
Elizabeth Cholakis bravely battled opposing linsemen as they entered her zone. Meegen Reed did a great job keeping the puck in White territory. Thomas Kirby worked hard getting open in front of the White net. Deirdre Munday thwarted many White scoring attempts. Ryan Laurain goaltended. He blocked many White shots-on-net and allowed no opposition goals.
In the second period, Thomas Ryan got a hat trick and Andrew Cahalan
scored a second goal. White refused to go down scoreless. After several
scoring attempts, the White teams' Brian King's tenacity paid off with two big goals. Assist credit belongs to Thomas Rey and Connor O'grady. Stephen Pulkowski turned in an absolutely stellar goaltending performance.
Red Coaches Sean Kirby and Don Howard were pleased with the win. The Red team is off until the next millennium--January 9, 2000 at 9 a.m.
