Action-Packed Games At St. Camillus

St. Camillus Girls Intramural Basketball had several action-packed games on Thursday, December 2. In the Junior Girls Division, Animal Hospital of the Rockaways emerged victorious over Mirkin Vision Care, 10-8. Kathelyn Donlon and Charlotte Shannon led Animal Hospital on both offense and defense. Mirkin's Katie Fitzgeral and Tiffanie Carmen played well.

In game two, Georges' Florist squeaked a narrow 6-5 victory over Brown's Hardware with Allana Quinn leading the offense and Michelle Murray on the defense. Brown's Catherine Warren played a good offensive game.

Current standings for the Junior Girls are Animal Hospital 5-0; Georges' Florist tied with Brown's Hardware 2-3; and Mirkin Vision Care 1-4.

Senior Girls Division games started with West End Realty narrowly claiming victory over the K of C, 38-37. West End's Kathy Donlin and Lauren Kentauris led the offense despite the strong defense of Katie French and Sue Hurley. K of C's Lisa West and Morgan Shannon played a good offense.

Game two saw Harbor Light pounce on O'Grady's Plumbing, 33-21. Leading the offense for Harbor was Lauren Hoyler and Samantha Swensen with Chrissy Suslak's relentless defense. Jen Pomponion and Tara Passik highlighted O'Grady's game.

Current standings for the Senior Girls are K of C and West End Realty tied at 3-2 and Harbor Light and O'Grady's tied at 2-3.
