Signs Are Welcomed

Dear Editor;

This is a response to the full-page ad on November 20, 1999 regarding a King and a henchwoman in Rockaway who would like to redesign the neighborhood. Together, they would like to redraw the lines in the neighborhood to reflect that Belle Harbor should end on Beach 130 street and Rockaway Park should continue to Beach 129 street. In effect, banishing the families west of Beach 125 street to Beach 129 street from the Belle Harbor kingdom. While it sounds pretty funny, I think that people should use that ad as a wake up call. Who would have thought that they had the power to move a bus stop from Beach 116 street without public hearings? How can we be sure that when we go to sell our houses that the deeds won't have to be changed first to please them! I have written to Commissioner Stern to voice my opinion that the "Belle Harbor" signs on the beach are a welcome attraction.
