Posing as a hospital doctor, nurses aide William Corry, 37, sexually assaulted a 27 year old female patient in St. John's Episcopal Hospital on Sunday afternoon, November 28.
Corry, a resident of 522 Grassmere Terrace, Far Rockaway, was arrested and charged with sexual abuse 3.
Incapacitated due to a spinal tap, the victim was being visited by a friend when Corry entered the room. Corry asked the victim's friend to step outside the room, as he drew the curtain around the victim's bed.
Corry proceeded to perform a "gynecological exam", which, according to the victim, lasted four to five minutes. After completing the "exam", Corry left the room and told the victim's friend she could return.
Later that evening, the victim realized she had been sexually abused by Corry when a bona fide medical doctor came into her room. The doctor showed the victim his nametag and conducted the exam over her clothing.
Once the victim notified the doctor of what had occurred, they immediately contacted the police, and the victim properly identified Corry.
Corry was arrested at the hospital by officers from the 101 Precinct.
