B.C. Pee Wees Keep On Winning
B.C.A.C. Shamrock, 7-8year olds, beat the Seaford Bronco's Sunday in Broad Channel 20-6 in a playoff game to continue on to the Superbowl.
QB Kevin McMahon was flawless in his execution of handoffs to running back Seamus Kelly who scored on a 35 yard run around the end with tremendous knockdown blocks by John Mc Carthy, Ronnie Lonnborg and Chris Berrios. The offense line of BC moved down the field like a well oiled "Green Machine" Phil 'Agostino, Joe La Porta, Brian Wallace, Mike Tobin, Anthony Ciambriello and Gerad Zimmerman delivered blocks and hits to allow Seamus Kelly to score late in the first and another score making it 14-0 first quarter. The extra points were scored by John Mc Carthy and Seamus Kelly. Seamus Kelly scored again but the extra point was no good. BC's lead was 20-0. With the 18 point rule in effect, Seaford took out of the game Phil D'Agostino, Joe La Porta, John Mc Carthy and of course Seamus Kelly.
Defense of BC didn't allow Seaford a first down all game. The Green
Meanies Rich Martin, Jack Turbidy, Jesse Mc Crae, Steve Trudden, Sean
Kelly, Frankie Laino, Brain Wallace, Brian Faught,Mike Doughtery, Tomas Krohn, Tom Sadler, Brendon Shea, and James Mc Dermott.
BC gave up compassion to Seaford because it is not about pounding a
team at this age, but to prove that if you do your best you will get the best
results. Mike "Vince" Shea allows all his kids to play when the time
allows, because it is about winning and pride in yourself and your team. Every child on this team is in much better shape, thanks to the training of Coach Shea. Most of the kids can learn football knowledge and sportsmanship from the BC football program. Manners, good attitude and respect for themselves and other should be learned from their families.
Remember it is about teamwork, fun and the joy of winning. The Pee Wee Superbowl game is at BC's Memorial Field on Sunday, November 28 at 1:00 p.m. Come on out and wear your "GREEN" to support these boys on their quest for the championship.
