Panther Football News

Peanut Division (ages seven and eight) played the Springfield Rifles the weekend of November 6 for the second time this season, and came up big, beating the Rifles 6-12. The Peanuts play the Bayside Raiders at Bayside this weekend.

Junior Pee Wee Division (ages nine and 10) are undefeated with a win over the Ridgedale Brewers. With only four more games to play, the Junior Pee Wee's are well on their way to the playoffs. The Junior Pee Wees have come along way since last season. Coach Aaron and Coach Bill are confident that the team can go all the way this year.

Undefeated Pee Wees (ages 11 and 12), with a big win over the Brooklyn Skyhawks last weekend, are now 7-0. The team made up of one of the best running backs in the division, James (Speedy) Romain, and the best full back, Tommy (The Dog) Stephens are combined with a whole team full of talent: Steven Flake, Vincent Rey, Tyquan Samuel, Brandon (The Hit Man) Garcia, Saquan (Old Dirty South) Jordon, Paul Gordon, Lawrence Whitehead, Jeffrey Ghee, Tykeam Dawson, Michael Maloney, Dony Bellmen, Sean Kolbinski, Nafeiba Clark, Jamal Thomas, Jeremy Pruitt, Kaja Walker, Michael Walker, Jose Baez, Antion Walker, and Ruben Morales. They are all headed to the championship.

There are only three more games left and the Pee Wees are confident they will beat the Queen's Falcons on Sunday. One team that may stand in their way is the Springfield Rifles, who they beat at their homefield earlier in the season. The next game against Rifles is November 20.

When Coach John Zabala was asked what he would like for his upcoming birthday, he said, "To beat the defending champions, the Rifles. Let's go Panthers!"
