RPA Meets Thursday
Headaches with your EZPass bill? Afraid to cross the Gil Hodges bridge while there is ongoing construction? These issues and many others will be addressed at the next meeting of the Rockaway Park Association, to be held on Thursday, November 18, at the Belle Harbor Yacht Club. The meeting starts at 7:30 p.m.
MTA Bridges and Tunnels will be sending a representative to discuss concerns of locals with the recent construction on the Gil Hodges bridge. Locals have complained that construction has added more than a half hour to their morning commute. Many fear crossing the bridge as parts of the railing and grading have been removed.
Also, the representative will address EZPass questions and problems. Many residents have had problems with their statements, while others have not received a bill in months and are in jeopardy of having their tag confiscated.
Councilman Al Stabile will also be speaking at the beginning of the meeting. He will discuss recent initiatives he has taken on behalf of Rockaway and will answer questions.
Belle Harbor Yacht Club is located on Beach Channel drive between Beach 126-127 streets.
