Notes From The High C’s

Rockaway Music and Arts Council

Listen my children and you shall hear... the final crowd tally on the festival this year. It was park personnel that reported to us, a figure over which we can make a real fuss. We let out a Whoop! and a cheer that was rousin', when we heard from 'Gateway'...estimates exceeding 30,000! For our weekend event with activities galore: art, crafts, flowers, music and many things more ...we again thank all of you who joined us there, and brought family and friends for a good time to share…

And now 'cause we're excited about our next big show...and we know you'll want the info so you can go...mark your calendars for November 20 and 21...a great RMAC Art Exhibition and Sale ...another weekend of fun without fail. At St. Rose of Lima on Beach 84s street... there's lots of free parking...and there all your friends will meet. On Saturday night from 7-10... if you join the "in" crowd we'll entertain you again…there'll be wine and cheese... and an opportunity to buy fabulous art for your wall...with the proceeds to support the RMAC Festival next fall. Over 100 framed works of art will be there...watercolors, oils, acrylics and other mediums hung with care…with some paintings by Rockaway artists, among the artistic creations...perhaps Giuliani will censor them and start a new 'Sensation'!

On Saturday night we're asking for a five dollar donation...a small fee to help defray our costs and please make a reservation. Look at our ad for the phone number, or you can call information for Rockaway Music & Arts Council too...bring your family and friends for a good time...we look forward to seeing you! But if you can't make it Saturday...Sunday from noon to 5, admission is free...With paintings by Cornell, Yaeger and Rawling... Rockaway names that are legendary!

We're planning a special museum trip…a visit to 'The Met'...with a great millennium tour...but the details are not ready yet...'til then Happy Thanksgiving...and a joyous holiday…Blessings of the season and good health to all we pray!
