Rockies Red Mites Are Red Hot!

On Sunday morning, October 31, in the Rockaway rink, the Rockies Red Mites romped the White Mites by a score of 10-0. Both teams agreed to an abbreviated two-period game on that beautiful Halloween afternoon to facilitate trick or treating time.

Scoring highlights are as follows: Rookies Stephen Pulkoski and Nicholas McElhatton enjoyed the treat of scoring their first goals. Veterans Neil Howard and Sean Kirby each scored twice. Steady-Eddie Warren scored three goals for the hat trick and a fourth time for the fun of it.

The remaining Red offense kept the pressure up with many shots-on-goal. Speaking of such shots, Andrew Cahalan got-off four, Anthony Allocco fired three, Ryan Laurain ripped two, Elizabeth Cholakis and Jimmy McCabe each rifled one.

Deirdre Munday continually cleared the zone and completed some great
passes. Patrick Walsh fought hard for the puck. Thomas Kirby and John Walsh shared the GT spot. They blocked several White scoring attempts and did not allow any goals. The Red Wings hope Thomas Ryan recovers quickly because it just wasn't the same without him.

The Red Wings next face-off is set for November 7 at 1 p.m. in the
Rockaway rink.
