Dot on Roxbury

by Dotty Taphouse

Kelly and Billy Lennon are the very proud parents of twins, a boy--John Henry Lennon (six pounds, 19 and a half inches long), and a girl--Kristin Ann Lennon (five pounds, 10 ounces and 20 and a half inches long), who entered our world on October 14, 1999. The thrilled grandparents are AnnMarie and Hank Sinisi of Woodhaven and Cathy and Jack Lennon of Roxbury.

Brian Thomas Feimer, son of Joanie and Tim Feimer, arrived on August 3, 1999 and was baptized on October 23 in St. Genevieve's Church by Reverend Father Jack Cullinane. Big brothers Timothy and Patrick, and grandparents Joan and Jim Kelly of Rockaway Point and Jean and Bill Feimer of Roxbury, plus family and friends, enjoyed a great Christening party at the Roxbury Catholic club. The Roxbury Barn II catered the delicious food.

Ruth Ginger Robertson, Mattie Curley and Eleanor Cooney retired home after a wonderful vacation at Lake Havasu in Arizona, the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas where they survived the Hector Earthquake.

On Wednesday, October 27 I had full bus on a trip to the Big Apple. The weather was beautiful, some went shopping, others got tickets to shows or just spent the day in New York. My group had tickets for "Miss Saigon." It was enjoyable and a gourmet dinner at Martini's.

HAPPY BITHDAY AnnMarie Geis, November 1, and Craig Livingston, November 7.

Love ya, Dot.
