By Joan Ward George
According to 100 Precinct Commanding Officer Captain Gary Scirica, the NYPD Harbor division was on routine patrol Tuesday afternoon when they came upon a floating corpse. Detectives from the 100 Precinct were called to the scene. According to police, the body was that of a late 20’s to early 30’s black male, with no apparent wounds.
Captain Scirica stated that the body, which appeared to be in the water for a couple of days, was transported to the New York City Medical Examiner’s office for examination and determination of cause of death. However, the police said that it did not initially appear that foul play was involved.
