Dot on Roxbury

by Dotty Taphouse

Dana Monahan and Joseph Henry were united in the Sacrament of Matrimony at a nuptial Mass in St. Christopher’s Church in Baldwin, Long Island, on Saturday, October 16. Dana’s maid of honor was Danielle Monahan and her bridesmaids were Patricia Schroeder, Julie Henry, Diane Leipzig, Christine Ross, Kahtleen Mooney, Tara Ris, Diane Donohoe and Jennifer Jahns. Joseph’s bestman was Joseph Depalma and his groomsmen were Robert Schroeder, James Henry, Scot Henry, Michael Bach, Steven McMahon, Glen Taphouse, Keith Cook and Paul Armour. The pretty flower girls were Kelsie Schroeder, Shannon Mooney, Chelsea Loesel and Jamie Loesel. The readings were made by Lori Bach, Teresa Loesel and Andrew Perlow. The gifts were brought up by Donna Henry (groom’s godmother) and Tom Ross (bride’s godfather). Dana, the bride, is the daughter of Kathy and Robert Monahan, and Joseph, the groom, is the son of Gloria and the late William Henry.

The bride was gorgeous and the entire wedding party beautiful. After the lovely ceremony, a great wedding reception was held at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, Long Island.

Thomas Joseph McEnroe was baptized on October 10, 1999 in St. Genevieve’s Church by Reverend Father Jack Cullinane. Thomas is the son of Kathleen and Mackie McEnroe and grandson of Mary and Gene McEnroe and Edna and the late Tom Reid. His godparents are Mary Beth Reid and Billy Reid, jr. The Christening party was held in the Roxbury Catholic Club. Classic Cuisine catered the delicious food and the party was enjoyed by all.

Kevin Fox, the new mayor of the Mayor’s Committee, had his inaugural affair on Sunday, October 10 in the clubhouse. Drinks, good food, good company and fun, despite the rainy weather.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY John Durante-October 24.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY Phyllis and Howie Taphouse-October 28.

Love Dot.
