Ponies Shutout Red Devils

Broad Channel 18, Levittown 0

Last Saturday the Shamrocks seemed to have the "luck of the Irish". They had great weather to play their final night game, and also had a nice showing of fans who came to see them play.

Winning the toss, Broad Channel took control immediately when Joe Feria returned the kickoff for a touchdown. Special teams have come up big in every game so far. The Shamrocks, led by quarterback Sharif Soliman, put the ball in the endzone on a run through the middle by Anthony Pagano. Staying with
the running game Spenser Daly ran for eight yards to score. Once again the offensive line, Danny McMahon, Brian Madden, Rob Consolo, Ray Newton, and Kevin Martin, got the job done.

The Shamrock defense was flawless in shutting down the Red Devils
offense. They were unable to get their passing game going thanks to Sean
O'Boyle. When they kept the ball on the ground Ed "the rebel" Walls was there along with Ray Agolia, Willie Gill, and Sharif Soliman. Anthony Pagano blocked a punt and returned it for 18 yards. The Shamrock second string was able to defend the shutout for an entire quarter. This shows how hard the players and the coaches work together as a team.

This Sunday the Ponies will be looking to improve their record to five wins.

They will be at home against a strong Lindenhurst team. Game time is 11 a.m. Come show your support for the team.
