The first Friday luncheon of St. Genevieve’s on October 1 was celebrated with a Mass at 11 a.m. followed by the luncheon in Father Hession hall. Addie Ickowski was the gracious chairlady and with the cake bakers, donators, helpers, etc., did another great job. Donald Feimer’s crew from Classic Cuisine catered the delicious dinner. Artie Fox was our very good bartender. It was a very pleasant afternoon. The next luncheon will be on November 5.

Roxbury Volunteer Fire Department had their annual Octoberfest in the firehouse on Saturday, October 2. Chief Michael Knowles was the chairman and with the help of members of the volunteer fire department and Ladies Auxiliary ran another good and well attended affair. The delicious German dinner was catered by Lou Gruber. The Adam Barhalt band played all types of music for dancing. Another fun night.

Belated birthday greetings to Frannie (hairstylist at Mr. Rocco’s)-October 3.
