Dautrice Barnette, Family Lives Here

Services for Dautrice Barnette were held on September 29, in New York and on October 2, in Jamaica.

She died on September 24, 1999.

She is survived by her mother Willel Cameron; sons Richard, James, George, and Clarence; daughters Veronia, Norma, Daphne, Rena (Vicki), Martha, Audrey, Ellen and Pamela; brother Granvil Bailey; sister Linda; 31 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Interment under the direction of Jeremiah C. Gaffney’s Funeral Home, Inc., of Inwood, was held at Sandside Cemetery, Pt. Maria, St. Mary, Jamaica, WI.

Adrian Michael Foley Of Breezy Point

Mass of Christian Burial for Adrian Michael Foley was held on Monday, September 27 at St. Thomas More Chruch, Breezy Point.

He died September 24, 1999 at Peninsula Hospital Center. He was 30 years old.

He is survived by his parents Mary (Terry) and Michael Foley and sister Siobhan Foley.

Adrian, a lifelong resident of Breezy Point, worked as a teamster in the theater industry.

Interment under the direction of Denis S. O’Connor Funeral Home, Inc., was held at St. John’s Cemetery, Middle Village.

Annie Lapsley Of Breezy Point

Mass of Christian Burial for Annie Lapsley was held on Friday, October 1 at St. Thomas More Church, Breezy Point.

She died at her residence on September 28, 1999.

Annie was born in Londonderry, Northern Ireland. She lived in Breezy Point for 37 years, coming from Forest Hills.

Annie, the widow of Samuel P. Lapsley, is survived by daughter Marjorie Dunn; son George; a deceased son, the late Thomas (Buddy); seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

Interment under the direction of Denis S. O’Connor Funeral Home, Inc., of Rockaway Beach, was held at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, New York.

Otto J. Johnson Of Arverne

Otto J. Johnson died September 29, 1999 in Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center.

He was born in Richmond, Virginia and worked as a textile cutter. He came to Arverne in 1975 from Brooklyn.

Otto, the widower of Eleanor, is survived by son Otto jr.; a deceased daughter, the late Gloria Dazila; sister Ethel; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Service will be held on Saturday, October 2 at Denis S. O’Connor Funeral Home, Rockaway Beach.

Interment under the direction of Denis S. O’Connor Funeral Home, Inc., will be held at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, New York.

David McClendon
Family From Far Rock

David McClendon was born in Georgia to the late Elmore and Alberta McClendon.

He died September 20, 1999.

He is survived by his devoted sister Clara Gibson; the mother of his children Frances McClendon Wilkins; ten children: Bernice Smith of Inwood, Cherry Chandler, Terri McClendon, Mary Louise McClendon, Anthony McClendon, Dennis McClendon, Daniel McClendon, and Harry McClendon, all of Far Rockaway, Vanett Wilkins, and David McClendon jr.; one beloved brother L.D. McClendon; 32 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Interment under Jeremiah C. Gaffney’s Funeral Home, Inc., of Inwood, was held at All Saints Cemetery, Great Neck, New York.
