Sgt. Artie Nappo, Detective Lloyd and other officers of the 100 Precinct were on hand early Thursday morning when their intensive two day long investigation led them to 88-08 Rockaway Beach boulevard where Andre Ivory was hiding out after allegedly stabbing and slashing an unidentified female Tuesday night.
Nappo was to be the subject of a front page "Most Wanted" story in this week’s edition of The Wave, but was apprehended just a few hours prior to the paper going to press Thursday.
Ivory was arrested and charged with felony assault and was being transferred to Central booking to await arraignment Thursday afternoon.
According to police his victim was known to him and received several wounds from the butcher knife that Ivory is accused of having wielded in his attack. The victim, police say, is recovering from her wounds and her whereabouts were being kept confidential.
