Park Police Announce
Applications will be accepted for positions of United States Police Officer beginning on September 30 and ending October 7.
Candidates must be United States citizens at least 21 years of age and must not have reached their 35 birthday. A minimum of two years of education in an accredited college/university, or two years of related work experience, or a combination of the education and experience, or two years of active military service is required.
Persons interested in taking the United States Park Police exam must attain a Vacancy Announcement from one of the following methods:
- Via OPM web-site, www.usajobs.opm.gov, which will be posted beginning September 30. This website can be accessed at any federal office building with a job vacancy kiosks or local library.
- Pick up a vacancy announcement at the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), or at a U.S. Park Police Office: in Brooklyn - Building 275 Flooyd Bennett Field, Brooklyn, New York or in Staten Island - Building 210 New York avenue, Staten Island, New York.
- Complete Form C, which can also be picked up from one of the above locations.
Once the form is completed, register for the exam by using one of the following methods: Completing application on-line through OPM web-site, www.usajobs.opm or mail applications, along with the original Form C, which must be received by closing date.
Applicants who register during the open period can select the testing location convenient for them. Applicants choosing test sites in San Francisco, New York or Washington DC will receive test dates, times, and locations from the OPM. Testing will begin on November 1 and end on November 10.

United States Park Police provide law enforcement and security for the National park Service and other Federal areas in Washington, D.C., New York city and San Francisco. Salaries are based upon duty assignment after the completion of required training. Starting salary is $32,281, while attending the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center.
