From the G-Man

by Gary G. Toms

Hey people! Before I get started, there are two things I have to do. First, I want to extend warm greetings to a very kind woman by the name of Maureen McNelis. I appreciated your comments in the August 12 edition, and I thank you for your support.

Secondly, I would like to offer my sincerest apologies to the Nation of Islam. Last week, when I addressed the Million Youth March issue, I was lead to believe that Khalid Muhammad was affiliated with the organization. The fact of the matter is, Muhammad was kicked out of ‘The Nation", and he went on to form what is now called The New Black Panther Party. I did not mean to hurt anyone within the organization, and if I have, again, I am very sorry.

Mayor Giuliani and Commissioner Safir, also known as "Dumb and Dumber", received critical acclaim for their handling of the Diallo shooting. For those who haven’t realized it yet, I am being sarcastic. Now, almost a year later, comes an exciting sequel to the first "hit". This time our fearless jackasses try to defend the police shooting of a Jewish man that many feel was a case of excessive force. Well, I won’t waste any time with my review. The sequel sucks!

I can understand that the police have a tough job to do. I won’t dispute that. I can understand that sometimes they have to make split second decisions regarding life threatening situations, but let me tell you what I can’t begin to understand and what I’m sick of. I am so damn tired of watching news reports about incidents like this one, and these two boneheads offer nothing in the way of compassion for the victims or their families. They are always so quick to defend the actions of officers, as in the case of Justin Volpe, until they realize that a screw-up did occur. That’s when they decide to apologize. The mayor is so quick to shout that the shooting was more than justified. The Commissioner makes the cold, callous statement; "The police acted in a proper manner. This was a madman who was out to hurt people. This isn’t the movies, where hammers are shot out of people’s hands or they get shot in the legs." So I guess the point being made is that they aim to kill you regardless. These guys are two of the dumbest S.O.B.’s I have ever seen! I’m sorry, but this man did not have to die the way he did. He was mentally disturbed! Does that mean you kill every mentally ill person on the street?

No! What it means is you start developing specialized units to deal with situations involving mentally disturbed people. You have specialized units for terrorists and hostage situations, and they are worse scenarios by far. If they are that disturbed, why not try using a special net to harness them, and then you can cart them off to a facility that can care for them? How do you know if they are even aware of what they are doing? Must shooting people down like dogs always be the answer? To hell with what that big sausage head Safir said. There are police officers who are crack shots. You can wound someone without killing them. Stop it with these lame excuses. Enough!

I have never seen an administration that managed to piss off so many people. Every week, it’s something new with them. They’ve pissed off African- Americans, Latinos, Asians, Jews, gays and animal rights activists. By the way, the two cops who locked those dogs in the trunk of a police car, in 95 degree heat, should have the crap beat out of them. They are two sorry excuses for human beings.

An overall tone has been set in New York City, and it comes directly from the top: City Hall. Anything and anyone is fair game. Everyone is expendable, and this latest shooting proves that. However, someone once said that Jewish blood is not cheap. I think, come the next big election, this fact will be proven as well.

See you next week!
