Harbor Light Crew Goes Fishing
Congrats to all the hearty souls who withstood rough seas and weather last Friday. The day started with coffee and juice at the pub. Everyone then carpooled to Pier 2, Sheepshead Bay, and boarded The Sunshine.
Special thanks go to our designated drivers. Bernie H. helped with icing up all those cans of suds. Fergy supplied all with colorful tee-shirts. Pat Mc. was a hit with his pickled eggs? Eileen R., Noreen, Pat C., and Kit represented our female crew and hearty souls they were. Donald drove the girls over…lucky guy. John H., our pool expert, took care of our pool. Kevin C. supplied a cooler full of sandwiches (Gumba type). Roland was our human disposal of the food. J.P. can’t figure out why his fish bucket only held our garbage. Connie did not get the pool fish (Ha! Ha!). Paul F., Bill H., John M., and Bob Mc.
withstood the waves in the front of the boat. Mike Mc., Fergy, Kevin M., and Colin did better than J.P. The last fish was caught by our own Tom and it was the pool fish (our pool and boat pool). Dennis and Kit caught a striped bass but it had to go back 24 inches too short.
Thanks to the Harbor Light for a delicious pasta meal on our return to the pub. The bar pool held out for quite awhile. Thanks to the owner and crew of The Sunshine for a good day on rough seas. Last, but not least, thank you Mary Ann and Pat H. for taking care of us at the bar.
See you all next year.
