Community Board 14 Will Meet

Ferry Feasibility Study On Agenda

Members of Community Board 14 will meet Tuesday, September 14 at the Daniel M. O’Connell American Legion Post, 301 Beach 92 street. The meeting is scheduled to get underway at 7:45 p.m.

Highlights of the meeting will be an informal presentation by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey regarding the ferry feasibility study. The study calls for high speed ferry service from points in Jamaica Bay to lower and midtown Manhattan.

Also scheduled is a report from the Land Use Committee regarding a ULURP application on the disposition of certain city owned property within the street beds in Broad Channel. There will also be a public hearing on the matter and those wishing to be heard are asked to sign in before the meeting.

In addition, minutes, communications, the report of the district manager, the report of the chairperson, public speaking time, old and new business will also be addressed.
