Stabile Rips Off Public
As I stated in the July 31 issue of The Wave, I would like to quote my last paragraph-"It is a shame what politicians get away with. Since when does a money hungry politician feel ashamed of getting away with and ripping off the public?" To corroborate this statement, the New York Post (August 10) featured a front page story pertaining to part-time Councilman Alfonse Stabile doing just that, and laughingly getting away with it.
Tell me, why should we the taxpayers be obliged to pay the cost of Stabile’s four-figure cell phone monthly bills?
I suggest we do away with the part-time city council and designate the job of changing street names to each full time borough president. New York City could save millions and utilize the money to far worthy causes.
