Jucov Claudaire Arnoux, Loved Nintendo

Funeral services for Jucov Claudaire Arnoux were held July 13 at the Jeremiah C. Gaffney Funeral Home, Inwood.

Jucov loved to play Nintendo with friends. He graduated from Blanche Daycare Center on June 16. He died July 4, 1999.

Jucov is survived by parents Jean and Marie Arnoux; sister Jasmine; grandparents George and Lucien; and Lidornise and Christine; and many aunts and uncles.

Interment under the direction of the Jeremiah C. Gaffney Funeral Home of Inwood was in Maple Grove Cemetery, Queens, New York.

Lenore Briscoe Of Far Rockaway

Funeral services for Lenore Briscoe were held July 9 at the Denis S. O’Connor Funeral Home, Rockaway Beach.

A secretary with American Airlines, Lenore was a Far Rockaway resident. She died June 26, 1999.

The widow of the late Alonzo, she is survived by grandnephews Robert, Mark, and Anthony Jaconson.

Interment under the direction of the Denis S. O’Connor Funeral Home Inc. of Rockaway Beach was in Long Island National Cemetery in Pinelawn, Long Island.

Catherine Casey Of Breezy Point

Mass for Christian Burial for Catherine Casey was celebrated July 14 at St. Thomas More Church, Breezy Point.

Catherine had been a resident of Breezy Point for 49 years. She died July 10, 1999.

The widow of William, she is survived by son Harold and Walter; she was predeceased by sons William and Robert; she is also survived by daughter-in-law Mary Casey and nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Interment under the direction of the Denis S. O’Connor Funeral Home Inc. of Rockaway Beach was in St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, New York.

Desmond T. Egan, Worked For OTB

Mass of Christian Burial for Desmond T. Egan was celebrated July 13 at St. Francis DeSales Church, Belle Harbor.

Desmond was a manager for Off-Track Betting of New York and served in the U.S. Army from 1965-67. He died July 10, 1999.

He is survived by wife Geraldine (nee Fitzgerald); sons Desmond Anthony; daughter Michelle; brothers Patrick and Kevin; sisters Ethna Hand, Eileen Egan, Una Lonergan, Bernadette Kennedy, and Brenda Egan; 15 nieces and nephews, and 20 great nieces and nephews.

Interment under the direction of the Denis S. O’Connor Funeral Home Inc. of Rockaway Beach was in Calverton National Cemetery, Long Island, New York.

Mother Elizabeth Lee, Born In South Carolina

Funeral services for Mother Elizabeth Lee were held July 12 at the Refuge Church of Christ, Far Rockaway.

Living in Rockaway since 1954, Elizabeth was affectionately known as "Ma," "Aunt Elizabeth," and to some "Dumpling." She was a valued worker for her church. She died July 7, 1999.

Elizabeth Lee is survived by children Robert E., Elaine, Gregory, David, and Elijah; daughters-in-law Shermineda and Brenda; her pal Barbara Pitchford; son-in-law David; eight grandchildren; sister Ida and many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Interment under the direction of the Jeremiah C. Gaffney Funeral Home of Inwood was in All Saints Cemetery, Great Neck, New York.

Matilda Millinghaus Of Far Rockaway

Funeral services for Matilda Millinghaus were held July 10 at the Jeremiah C. Gaffney Funeral Home, Inwood.

Matilda was a Far Rockaway resident and the widow of Milton. She died July 7, 1999.

Matilda is survived by two sons and two daughters and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Jean Ellen Nason, Librarian

Mass of Christian Burial for Jean Ellen Nason was scheduled to be celebrated July 16 at 9:45 a.m. at St. Francis DeSales Church, Belle Harbor.

A librarian with the Public Library of New York City, Jean was a Belle Harbor resident. She had been an active member ofd St. Genevieve in Roxbury and later an active member of St. Francis DeSales. She died July 12, 1999.

The daughter of the late William and Helen (nee McKenna) she is survived by her sister Susan and cousins, Edward and Owen McKenna; John and Larry O’Connell; Dennis O’Hare and Peggy Deering.

Interment under the direction of the Denis S. O’Connor Funeral Home Inc. of Rockaway Beach was in Pinelawn Memorial, Long Island, New York.
