Thanks Dr. Rogoff

Dear Editor:

In this day and age of attitudes that exist such as "It’s not my job" and "Your have no appointment" and "It’s after hours" I needed to write to you and tell you about an incident that occurred this past Friday, July 2, 1999 that will renew your trust, along with all your readers, in professionals. A friend of mine had just arrived from out of town, to spend a month in Breezy when her 15 year old daughter had a dental emergency. Not only was it 6 p.m. on a Friday, it was 6 p.m. on Friday, July 4 weekend. Beside herself she asked for my advice and although I wasn’t optimistic what the outcome would be, I placed a phone call to my dentist, Dr. David Rogoff. It was 6:10 p.m. and I was told by Janice to come right in even though they were shutting down the office. Of course, we flew and Dr. Rogoff addressed the emergency.

I truly believe that care and concern that was administered by both Dr. Rogoff and his staff, was above and beyond the call of duty. I cannot thank him enough for putting a smile back on the face of my friend’s fifteen year old daughter. This was indeed professionalism with a capital P.

I need to write to you because everyday we read and hear about people complaining about what was done and I wanted to say that yes there are professionals in our area that not only believe they are professionals, they act as professionals. I for one am very happy to know the office of Dr. David Rogoff. Their simple act of kindness sets them apart and I wanted to acknowledge them.
