Russell M. Bradley Of Broad Channel
Funeral services for Russell M. Bradley were held Thursday, June 17 at the Hillbrand Funeral Home, Broad Channel.
A combat veteran with the Merchant Marine, Mr. Bradley served on PT boats attached to the U.S. Army in World War II. After the war he settled in Broad Channel worked as an Able Seaman. He died June 10, 1999.
Interment under the direction of the Hillebrand Funeral Home was in Fern Dale Cemetery, Johnstown, New York.
Muriel S. Coughlin Of Rockaway
Muriel Steakin Coughlin, a resident of the Rockaways for more than 20 years died on June 11, 1999.
Muriel requested to have her body donated to the Medical College of Long Island for the advancement of science.
She is survived by daughter Anne Gerrity and granddaughter Danielle Gerrity.
Elizabeth "Betty" Crowley Of Belle Harbor
Mass of Christian Burial for Elizabeth Crowley was celebrated June 17 at St. Francis DeSales Church, Belle Harbor.
Elizabeth, known as "Betty", was a Belle Harbor resident and had been a telephone operator with New York Telephone. She died June 14, 1999.
The widow of Daniel she is survived by daughters Ann Marie McDonough and Elizabeth Aranzullo, five grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren..
Interment under the direction of the Denis S. O’Connor Funeral Home Inc. of Rockaway Beach was in St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, New York.
Brandon T. David and Bradford J. Stokes
Brothers Attended PS 104
Funeral services for Brandon T. David and Bradford J. Stokes were held June 12 at the Battalion Pentecostal Church, Arverne.
Both boys attended PS 104 in Far Rockaway and participated in the Jackie Robinson Center. They died June 8, 1999.
They are survived by four sisters, two brothers, aunts, uncles, and many friends.
Interment under the direction of the Jeremiah C. Gaffney Funeral Home of Inwood was in Nassau Knolls Cemetery, Port Washington, New York.
Nelson Garcia, Sanitation Worker
Mass of Christian Burial for Nelson Garcia was held June 16 at St. Camillus Church, Rockaway Park, New York.
An avid Yankee fan, Mr. Garcia was a retired sanitation worker. He was a resident of Far Rockaway.
He is survived by wife Deborah and children Meredith and Michael; granddaughter Jalissa, sisters Miliagros, Yolanda, and Carmen.
Interment under the direction of the Lawrence Funeral Chapel was in Rockville Cemetery, Lynbrook, New York.
Ola Mae Graham Of Far Rockaway
Funeral services for Ola Mae Graham were held June 12 at the Jeremiah C. Gaffney Funeral Home, Inwood.
Ola Mae, born in Alabama moved to New York in 1947. She died June 9, 1999.
Ola Mae is survived by son James E. Broxton; daughter-in-law Jesse; brother Wilbert Sowell; sister Pauline Ward; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Interment under the direction of the Jeremiah C. Gaffney Funeral Home of Inwood was in Greenfield Cemetery, Hempstead, New York.
Matilda "Tillie" King Of Rockaway Point
Mass of Christian Burial for Matilda King was celebrated June 14 at St. Thomas More Church, Breezy Point.
Matilda, known as Tillie, was born in Ireland and was a long time resident of Rockaway Point. She was very active in the St. Thomas More Altar and Rosary. Matilda died June 10, 1999.
The widow of John, she is survived by sons Michael (Theresa) and Michael (Sole); sisters Bernadette Farrel, Bridie Ryan, and Mary Imbach; grandchildren Michael, Amy, Mehgan, Marisol, Elizabet, Annabella, and Maggie.
Interment under the direction of the Denis S. O’Connor Funeral Home Inc. of Rockaway Beach was in St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, New York.
