Dot on Roxbury

Jennifer Gross and Michael Jamin were united in the sacrament of holy matrimony on Friday, May 21, 1999 in Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Highlands, New Jersey by celebrant Kevin Keelan. The bride’s matron of honor was Kristen Gross Barsanti. The groom’s best man was Matthew Jamin. The bridesmaids were Kara Jamin, Kimberly Jamin, Kristen Jamin, Sherry Gross Rubba, Denise Gross Thomas and Christa Zusi. The groomsmen were Edward Berkery, Patrick Blair, Joseph Iaanace, Mark Jamin, Christopher Levine, and John Massy. The organist was Sabin Pautza and the vocalist was Pat Skinner. The bride was gorgeous and the entire wedding party just beautiful. The bride’s parents are Patricia and Paul Gross and the groom’s parents are Kathleen and Francis Jamin. A fabulous wedding reception was held at the Waters Edge in Seabright, New Jersey where many Breezy Point couples danced late in the night. Jennifer and Michael Jamin, the newlyweds, are on their honeymoon in Paris.

Congratulations to Nicole Kordelis on graduating from St. John’s University "Summa Cum Laude" on May 16, 1999. Nicole is the daughter of Linda Kordelis and the late Herculus Kordelis, also sister Dawn and Ellen. Aunt Ann Marie and John Mullaly of Roxbury are very proud of you Nicole, and wish you to follow your dreams! Mattie Curley and Alice Fallon attended the graduation at Providence College on Sunday, May 16, 1999. Sean Regan, son of Laura and Peter Regan of Belle Harbor and grandson of Mattie Curley, and Melissa Fallon, daughter of Bernadette and Dennis Fallon of Breezy Point and granddaughter of Alice Fallon, graduated. They all celebrated at a dinner party at the famous Atomic Grill where many graduates and their families gathered. The best of luck to both of you.

Phyllis Casper and Roz Borello of Roxbury celebrated Mother’s Day on the Queen Elizabeth II. They were wined and dined and returned to port on Monday. Way to go!

Ladies Auxiliary of the Nursing Sisters of Home Care had their annual luncheon at the Silver Gull Beach Club on May 19, 1999. The food and drinks were delicious and the prizes the very best. Sister Mary Nadine Casey, Helen Gillespie and Mrs. Thomas Murray and their committees ran an extra lovely luncheon.

On Saturday, May 22 the Rockaway Point Catholic Club has another Century Club dinner dance. The delicious food was catered by Frannie Jamin and his crew from JAMCO. The bartender were Ed Flaherty and his son Sean Flaherty, Tom Haugh, Larry Cawley were the chairman and with their helpers ran another great affair. The music was played by the Backstreet Band.

Belated Birthday Sean Regan-May 10; Catherine Regan-May 16; "Mom" Laura Regan-May 29; and Arthur Elliott, sr.-May 25. Happy Birthday Dee Dillon-June 9.
