THE WAVE - Local newspaper, published weekly on Friday.
Established 1893, 35 cents per copy, circulation 12,300, serving the areas
of Breezy Point, Rockaway Point, Roxbury, Neponsit, Belle Harbor, Rockaway
Park, Seaside, Broad Channel, Holland, Hammels, Arverne, Edgemere, Far
Rockaway, Bayswater, and Five Towns.

AD POSITIONING:
Right hand
position will be granted if space is available. No advertiser is guaranteed
right side unless preferred position of 25% additional is paid.
AGENCY COMMISSIONS: All prices are
net.
COPY CHANGES: Advertisers
may make changes in a copy a maximum of once a week. If more frequent
changes are made, the advertiser will pay the prevailing rate of composition
for such changes.
DEADLINES: Deadline
for Display Ads is 5:00 p.m. Tuesday for next edition. If proof is required
the deadline is 5:00 p.m. Monday. Deadline for Classified ads is 5.00 p.m.Wednesday.
DISCOUNTS: In order
to qualify for the discounted rates, the advertiser must advertise a minimum
of every other week in a six month period. Multiple insertion advertisers
are granted a discounted rate per insertion as quoted above. If contractual
weeks are not fulfilled advertiser will be charged back to appropriate
rate price for advertising already run. this in no way reduces or eliminates
advertisers obligation to fulfill contract.
PAYMENT: For new
accounts payment is required in advance for the first four ads. All accounts with
past due balances over 30 days will be charged a fee of 18% (annual rate).
POSITION CHARGE:
Preferred position, if granted, 25% additional.
RIGHTS AND TITLE: All
advertisements created by the staff of Wave Publishing Company remain
the sole property of the company and may not be used in any publications
without the written permission of the publisher.
SPECIALTY ARTWORK:
Full color $200.00 net. Custom designed logos,
borders, etc. will be charged on individual basis.
TYPOGRAPHICAL ERRORS: Wave
Publishing assumes no financial obligation for typographical errors in
advertisements, but when notified promptly will reprint that part of the
advertisement in which the error occurs. We assume no responsibility if
the advertiser required a proof. We reserve the right to reject any advertisement
deemed objectionable to the publishers.
SPECIALTY ADVERTISING
LEGAL NOTICES: Run of press,
90 cents per line, per insertion. Count approximately 5 words to a line.
Notarized
affidavits $15, sent after payment. Legal notices are non-commissionable.
CLASSIFIED LINE ADS: 20 words or
less $15.00. Each additional word $.35. Repeat $.50
deduction.
Discounts available
for consecutive repeated weeks. Deadline 5:00 pm Wednesday for
Friday's edition.
AD-ETTES: Ad-ettes (boxed advertisements in
classified section) are $25.00 gross per column inch. Special artwork
on ad-ettes: Logos...$8.00 & up; Reverses...$8.00 per week
PREPRINTED INSERTS: $50 Net Per Thousand
