Chamber, PHC Host Rockaway Kids For Safety Breakfast
The Chamber of Commerce of the Rockaways and Peninsula Hospital Center teamed up last Tuesday morning for a Safety Breakfast that was held at the Beach Club. More than 50 local children came to have a good breakfast and to learn how to stay safe during the summer months.
Police Officer Brian McCabe of the 100 Precinct spoke about crossing the street and about bicycle safety. He also introduced McGruff, the crime fighting dog.
Fire Lieutenant Michael Camarco spoke about fire safety.

Dr. Olawepo, the Pediatrics Department director for PHC had the kids enthralled.

McGruff was a favorite with the youngsters.
