Papa’s Pizza Girls Give It Their All

The game on Sunday, May 23 against O’Grady Plumbing displayed the girls of Papa’s Pizza giving it 100%.  The girls dedicated the game to fellow teammate, Mary Ameruso, who showed up in uniform and is on the D/L due to an eye injury.

Cat Murphy pitched a four hit, 3-walk game, which yielded one run for O’Grady’s.

Meanwhile the girls of Papa’s scored 15 runs on 9 walks, 9 singles, 4 doubles, 1 triple and one grand slam homer. Annette Scotto played a terrific first base, picked up 3 hits at 3 at bats, including the 4 run homer.  Briana Hart smacked a centerfield triple, pushing in one run, and then scored on Kyra Meli’s single. Cat Murphy’s pair of doubles in the 3rd and 4th picked up 2 R.B.I.s on each.  Emily Dripchak scored on her single with Rebecca Moers double in the 3rd.  Lauren Houck scored twice on a walk and a single. Jenna Hoffman’s careful scrutiny at bat, picked up two runs on two walks, and Meridith Edelson’s single in the 2nd and great base running scored.

All of the girls played team ball and did superbly for the 15-1 win.

At the end of the game, the team signed a game ball for Mary.
