Urban Patriots Crush The Manhattan Crusaders

Last Tuesday evening at Beach Channel High School, the Rockaway Urban Patriots hosted the Manhattan Crusaders in what turned out to be a crushing blow to the visiting team. An older and more experienced team, the Crusaders were no match for the Patriots who were relentless, even though the first half ended with them behind 2-0. The Crusaders were not prepared for the offensive explosion about to him them.

With the scoreless first half behind them, the Patriots went on a scoring run. John Biscaino (Midfielder) coming back from the injured list, scored two quick goals, to tie the game. Within minutes, Kashem King (Midfielder) popped another two into the cage to electify the team. With the crowd going wild, and up 4 to 2 going into the 4th period, Midfielder Timothy Flynn went into action with two goals of his own.

As if this wasn’t enough, Kashem King scored his 3rd goal followed by
Niquan Smith (Midfielder) topping of the cake with the 8th and final goal of
the game. Midfielder Evan Flynn was voted game MVP for his combative play, although all 21 players gave 110%. Hats off to Sean Cummins (Goalie - 1st Half/Defense), Seamus Kirk (Goalie - 2nd Half/Midfielder), Danny Buckley (D-Unit), Matt Buckley (Attack), Max Linden (Attack/ Midfielder), Joey McGowan (Defense), Rob Peters (Nidfielder/ Attack), Thomas Bain (Defense), Sean McVeigh (Midfielder/Defense), Evan Flynn (Midfielder), Timothy Flynn (Midfielder/Attack), Kieran Rogers (Defense), John Biscaino (Midfielder/ Attack), Brian McGinn (Defense), Michael McGinn (Midfielder/Defense), Kyle Pareja (Midfielder/Defense), J.
