Saturday Hours Added For Passports At PO

Postmaster George Buonocore says that he understands that there are a lot of hard working families in the Rockaway’s that just can’t make it to the Post Office between 10am to 4pm Monday to Friday to have their passports processed. Now a child must be present with both parents and this makes it even harder with school still in session. .

Trough May 29, the postmaster will open a special Passport Window on each Saturday at the Far Rockaway Main Post office, 1836 Mott Ave, from 10 a.m.-1p.m. In addition, for a nominal fee customers will be able to get their photos taken right there at the office, and in 80 seconds they will be ready.

There will also be someone in the lobby answering questions and helping with applications. It just doesn’t get any easier than that.
