Goffin First Graduate of SJEH Program

Scott Goffin, DO, will be the first doctor to graduate from the dermatology program at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, South Shore. Dr. Goffin helped the Hospital establish the three-year residency specialty program in osteopathic medicine. Affiliated with Touro College, the Hospital has additional postgraduate osteopathic medical programs in family practice, general surgery and obstetrics/gynecology with a total of 88 enrolled residents.
Dr. Goffin followed in the footsteps of his father, Michael Goffin, MD, who served as Chairman of Radiology at St. John’s for 20 years. Dr. Scott Goffin graduated from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed his residency in family practice at St. John’s Hospital. While working as an attending physician in the Family Practice Ambulatory Care, he helped establish the dermatology program that he then attended. "I have a long history with St. John’s and Far Rockaway and to establish something lasting like the dermatology program was great," said Dr. Goffin.
