for larger version       The Inner Voice It is important for us to trust ourselves and follow our own hunches rather than always use logic to solve a problem. Sometimes there is so much that may be transpiring that we do not know about. However, it may have a direct influence on our decision. We may think we are unable to make a decision, but in reality it could be that the answer isn’t yet ready to come out. For example, a family may have been deciding to make a trip to NY in Sept. 2001. They may not have able to get a definitive yes or no. The senses may have been picking up terrorist danger and so an answer of when to come may not have been clear. I know one man who works in downtown Manhattan who on the morning of 9/11 went to visit his grandchild before work, something he had never done before. He saw the World Center flames while he was driving in Staten Island and turned around. We don’t always have to feel that we have to make a decision right away. Patience for spiritual individuals must take into account a trust in God/Universe that is privy to a bigger picture of things. We wait till we get "an all clear" so to speak. Patience allows us to go at a more universal timing rather than one based on our own insecurities. This intuition is outside of logic and takes into account our ability to be privy to understanding that is not in the realm of our own information of daily lives. Logic is important for the navigation of the world. We may work with concrete details, put gas in our cars, need money for shopping. These facts do not change, and we could not function without logic. But if we get a sense that we should not go shopping this afternoon, that may be because we sense something is not appropriate. Our needs will not be met or something negative may occur. It is usually a good idea to pay attention to our instincts.
