Far Rockaway H.S. Hosts Big Apple Games

After a very successful 2002 summer, Far Rockaway High School will again host the Big Apple Games in 2003. Starting on Tuesday, July 1, the center will be open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m., Monday-Thursday until August 7 for all teens 13-21.

The afternoon will feature teen recreation with activities such as: swimming, basketball, game room, pool, volleyball, arts and crafts and much more. Licensed professional teachers will supervise the games. The evening center will be a high school competition location in which skills and events will take place in basketball, swimming, weight training, volleyball, football and track and field. All young ladies and guys from 13-21 are welcome. It is completely free of charge and you do not have to be a Far Rockaway High School student to participate. Check it out from July 1 on.
