Relay For Life Forced Inside, A Hit Nevertheless

A total of 34 teams joined in this year’s Cancer Society Relay For Life held last weekend at Beach Channel High School. While the driving rain on Saturday night and Sunday wiped out most of the outdoor activities, the walkers moved indoors and continued right along as if nothing had happened. Pictured, the team from the Rockaway Beach Civic Association begins the walk. At least one member of each team had to be walking at all times in this relay event.
